For Monday 24th July, our dinner had the theme of Rosemary. Kerri hosted the dinner, and cooked the dishes together with Laura.

Drink

I don’t remember what it was called but it definitely had both rosemary and vodka.

Entré

As an introduction to the theme, Laura started with rosemary and Parmesan biscuits.

Main

  

Main course was aromatic brined fried chicken, together with an orange, pear and date salad with orange rosemary vinaigrette, and duck fat roasted root veggies.

Dessert

 

The amazing conclusion to the dinner was rosemary and orange polenta cake, and rosemary and lemon panna cotta.

Oozy August 12, 2017

We decided to go for a textural-type theme, and on Monday 5th June, Pam hosted an Oozy dinner. Pam served the savoury dishes and Andrew provided dessert.

Drink

What can be more oozy than ouzo?

Entré

To start the dinner, Pam served up home-made Xiao Long bao.

Main

Pam’s main course was a lentil and roast veg dish with an oozing poached egg.

Dessert

To conclude, Andrew served a Gary Rhodes’ recipe for apple pie icecream (the icecream is inside the pie) and creme anglaise.

For Monday 1st May, the theme was Quince. Franca hosted the dinner, and cooked the dishes together with Jacinta.

Entré

 

The meal began with quince toast topped with prosciutto and cheese-stuffed quince-glazed prunes.

Main

 

The main course was Persian lamb shanks with a polenta and pomegranate salad.

Dessert

 

To conclude the dinner, we had goats cheese tarts with quince paste and a quince and almond cake.

For Monday 3rd April, Laura hosted the dinner dedicated to Ukrainian food. Laura cooked the savoury dishes and Andrew made the desserts.

Entré

Laura began the meal with a traditional bowl of borsch.

Main

  

The main course from Laura was kovbasa, deruny and a radish and walnut salad.

Dessert

 

For dessert, Andrew made a syrnyk cake and a makovyi cake.

Jacinta made amazing grilled corn with salty coconut cream.

Main

 

Jacinta cooked a deliciously moist pandan-brined roast chicken with asian coleslaw.

On Monday 9th January, Laura hosted the Cinnamon dinner and served up dishes together with Kerri.

Mains

  

Main course was Hyderabadi chicken korma, Malabar vegetable ishtu, and Punjabi tariwala gosht.

Dessert

  

A trio of desserts matched the trio of curries, with cinnamon & butterscotch parfait, snickerdoodles, and cinnamon blondie.

Our traditional Christmas theme dinner was held on Monday 5th December 2016, with Kerri hosting and making the dishes together with Jacinta.

Entré

To start, we had maple, honey and spice-based ham with glazed pears.

Mains

The main course was pork, with parmesan & herb potatoes and cherry tomato & broad bean salad.

Dessert

 

There were two amazing desserts: choc-cherry pavlova and Christmas snow-globes.

On Monday 14th November 2016, we held a dinner at Andrew’s house that honoured food or ingredients that were preserved (or made ahead). Andrew made the dessert, and Pam made the savoury dishes.

Entré

Pam began the meal with a fennel soup.

Mains

The main course from Pam was a confit duck and lentil salad with beetroot, walnuts & orange.
