The dinner for October was on Monday 7th at Pam’s house. Kerri and Pam had decided to theme the dinner around an obscure (to us) country, and had picked Suriname (it’s in South America) for its interesting Jewish-Indonesian-Caribbean fusion.

Aperitif

To start things off a little differently, Pam and Kerri served up delicious drinks of ice-cold Lemongrass Dawet.

The main meal celebrated the diversity of Suriname. Pam provided Pom, and Kerri created a Goedangan salad with a dressing from Pam.

Dessert

For dessert, Kerri served us a Bojo Coconut and Cassava Cake (minus the pie crust) .
